Position: Branch Manager
Location: Portland, OR
Brian Busey entered the cabinet design industry in 2003 when he began working at Parr. Just two years later, Brian became the youngest manager in the history of The Parr Company. Today, he holds the position of Branch Manager at the NE Portland Cabinet Design Center. With over 13 years of expertise in cabinetry, countertops, appliances and installation services, Brian works seamlessly with homeowners, contractors, pro-remodelers and production builders alike.
Brian’s preferred kitchen style is transitional with traditional aspects. He often gravitates towards shaker-style cabinets, white with wood tone accents, complimented by a quartz countertop and a hint of copper hardware.
Inevitably, someone who has worked in the cabinet industry for over a decade is likely to have seen their fair share of design trends, good and bad. When asked the worst design trend he’s encountered, Brian immediately responded — Pickled Oak.
There are no days off for this busy father of four. Outside of work, Brian’s free time is spent with his wife, Jessie, chasing after his daughters, cheering on the Seattle Seahawks, the occasional motorcycle ride and volunteering. In 2009 Brian was awarded The Portland Police Bureau’s Commendation Medal for his distinctive service to the benefit of the Bureau and the Community.
For Brian, the best part about being a designer is finding solutions for bottlenecks, watching the kitchen fall into place and seeing his customer’s reaction.
