A family room can be one of the most used rooms in the house, and as such, it’s important to not only make sure it’s functional and ready to host guests, but that it also looks great too! This family room transformation started with new Kemper cabinetry in a bright white finish with edging that complements the new fireplace beautifully.
The Problem
This family room was large, but the space was not being used efficiently. There was a mishmash of furniture and had a dated design that just didn’t work with the family’s style or needs. It lacked storage, so belongings were often stored in closets throughout the house. It was time for an upgrade!
The Results
At Parr Cabinet and Design Center, we worked with the client on their family room renovation. We created an entertaining area, added storage, and brought beauty and functionality into the space. We used Kemper cabinets for a contemporary look that adds value to the space. The entertainment unit has interior shelves for storage and a top to display their sports memorabilia, giving it a very personal feel. Adding pieces like a new sofa and furnishings makes the room perfect for movies on Friday nights or hosting friends during Sunday football games. With its functional design & great features, this family room is the new favorite place in the home!
Upon completion of the project, we were so pleased with how it turned out. The room is now a central hub for family fun, and the best part is that it’s as practical as it is beautiful. We built an entertainment center with a brand new fireplace. We made use of wall space by installing the TV above. With all of these updates, this family room has become such a great place to spend time together – it really does feel like home!
